Funding Source Description In a separate one-page Word document, identify the funding source you have selected for your grant proposal, provide a link to its website, and write a brief rationale for selecting it as the funding source. Grant Proposal Format and Professional Vitae Use the Grant Proposal Format Template in the resources to write a proposal for a topic you have identified. The template is built based on a typical electronic submission format. Note that it is only an example of the type of format you may be required to use when writing grants; each funding source will have its own requirements and forms. As part of this format you must also provide your professional vitae. •Begin with a close review of the criteria for the proposal. Reflect on your readings, review the template, gather your information, and then start to write. Enter your content directly in the template, following the italicized guidelines provided. •Work through each of the sections, with the exception of the Abstract and Budget sections. •Be sure your writing is succinct and clearly stated. What is the purpose of the grant topic? Why is it needed? Remember that the title provides the first impression for reviewers, and needs to be clearly and succinctly stated.
