Case Study Assignment:
In January 2009, Nadya Suleman gave birth to octuplets at a Kaiser Permanente facility in Bellflower, California. When news of the birth first came out there was great excitement and anticipation about the mother and the family. As more information surfaced about the facts of the case; in particular, the artificial insemination of embryos and Ms. Sulema’s history, the excitement among many turned to anger and wonderment of how Ms. Suleman could have 14 children given her lack of fiscal means.
Without delving into the legal aspects of the case, discuss the ethical implications by applying the theories and principles to this case.
Tasks:
1. Discuss whether the doctor was ethically wrong to implant the embryos based upon the ethical theories.
2. Explain the role that regulatory agencies should play in the exercise of reproductive rights

1. Be sure to conduct additional research to gather sufficient information to familiarize yourself with the facts of the case and be sure to justify/support your position.

4. Apply critical thinking skills the the assignment component.
5. I will grade your paper on your ability to address the assignment criteria listed above with depth and breadth of discussion. I will also critique your writing format (i.e. proper reference citations, spacing, etc.).
