Management of communicable diseases is a very hot topic within the last few years with the most deadly outbreaks of Ebola virus since its discovery in 1976. The outbreak as been centered in West Africa, however, a handful of infections were noted in the US related to global travel and evacuations. What lessons have been learned and what should be done to be better prepared for transitional outbreak? Additionally, what can be gleaned regarding similar issues with the current Zeke Virus outbreak?
