In December 2014, during the holiday festivities at Disneyland, an unimmunized individual who came to the park spread Measles among the young attendees, causing a public health crisis that was monitored in many states. Many parents who did not get their children immunized because of their beliefs did immunize, but some parents had Measles parties to expose their children to the disease so they could get Measles “naturally”. California passed a law that children now must be immunized to attend school, but many parents still object. Should the Government Require A Child to Have Immunizations in Order to Attend School?
