Explain the 3 levels of public health
According to Nies, 2019, public health is defined as the art and science of preventing disease, prolonging life, and promoting the population\’s health through an assemble community attempt.

The three levels of prevention of public health are primary prevention, secondary prevention, and tertiary prevention, and those stand for:

Primary prevention consists of preventing problems or illnesses before they occur and promoting health and protection to the community, such as immunization, regular exercise, adopting a healthy lifestyle, etc., mentioned by Nies.

Secondary prevention includes the early detection and intervention leading to early diagnosis and prompt treatment of a disease to avoid complications. Examples include screening for diabetes, breast self-examination, check BMI at well checkup visits, etc.

Tertiary prevention is the intervention implemented after a disease or injury is already established. It is intended to prevent sequelae or prevent illnesses from getting worse. This level of prevention involves rehabilitation, treatment, education, etc. (Baker,2020)
