A report is a statement that supports the issue that is being developed. You will need to research the topic and develop a report that explores its major concepts
For the Communication Report you will observe a communication video (which will be available on BB in the Report folder under Assessments) and then develop a 1200-word report on that scenario.

Your report will consist of a 1200-word report on the communication scenario.
The video depicts patient nurse communication and you will then write a report on this.

Frequent questions and answers
Your report will contain several elements you are a neutral observer who has been asked to write a report on communication issues within the institution refer to Writing Reports pages 5-6 (contained in the BB Assessments Folder).Abstract; this provides the reader with a succinct overview of the whole report.
Introduction; this sets the scene for the reader and outlines why you are writing the Report this should contain a short description of the communication scenario that you witnessed
Results; this section presents the results obtained from interpreting the data (from the observed communication scenario)
Discussion this section provides a discussion of what was found the implications and research from other sources on the topic. The results are interpreted and compared to those of relevant studies/theories
Conclusion states or summarises the main points
Recommendations what recommendations would you make to the institution about what you observed?
List of references list all the references that have been cited in the Report. NB; the references are NOT included in the word count. References need to be quality references from academic/peer reviewed journals government/education websites etc.; i.e. do not use dictionaries/encyclopedias Wikipedia online blogs personal websites etc.Q: How many words should I write for each section?
A: A suggested word count is Abstract: 100 words
Introduction: 100 words
Results: 300 words
Discussion: 300 words
Conclusion: 100 words
Recommendations: 300 words

A: No stick with the sections outlined above
Q: Should I use headings? A: Yes you should the headings outlined above 3

Q: Do I need to include references for this report?
A: Yes. Both the Discussion and Recommendations section require references the Reference list will a separate page at the end of your report
