What is the goal of community engagement?
The three primary goals are:
Partnering with the community to improve health through solutions that address social, cultural and biological determinants. Developing a comprehensive and diverse health care workforce to serve the community.

The four types are: Community engagement with a focus on communitydevelopment or community building. Community participation in consultation and decision-making. Community engagement that helps organisations, businesses etc. to improve their service delivery or to achieve their goals
Community engagement is a way of developing a working relationship between public bodies (such as local councils) and community groups. Good community engagement will mean that both groups can understand and act on the needs or issues of community experiences, helping to achieve positive change.
