The purpose of this assignment is to facilitate your abilities to research a topic of study so you can learn to: (1) identify and formulate an inquiry question that defines what you would like to know about a specific topic in nursing, (2) know how to search and locate literature (e.g. books, scientific journal articles, etc.) using library and internet resources; (3) analyze the information found, and (4) synthesize new knowledge into a written literature review, and (5) establish context for your inquiries. A literature review is not just a descriptive list of the material available, or a set of summaries Assignment Description: For this assignment you are asked to complete the steps review. The review should be between 10 and 15 pages, doubled-spaced and using APA format. Criteria/outline for the literature review 1. Abstract: Summarize your literature review in no more than 250 words. The abstract should provide an accurate and concise description of the literature review. It should include the following sections: background/introduction, purpose, methodology, results (main findings), conclusion and implications for nursing practice. Please provide at least 3 key words used for your search (these key words are not part of the 250 word limit). 2. Topic selection and Background/Introduction: Write an introduction/background section for your review.
