Description Communications can be hindered by the lack of standard terminologies throughout the health care system. The American Nurses Association recognizes 12 standardized (including nursingspecific and interdisciplinary) terminologies as well as data element sets (such as the nursing minimum data set), and interfaces to support nursing practice. DIRECTIONS Compare and contrast two ANA recognized standard nursing terminologies (selected from any of the Interface Terminologies, Minimum Data Sets or Reference Terminology) and explain fully.
