Although rarely covered by the media, the “behind the scenes” role of policy analysts in health care is significant. Now think about the work that policy analysts should be doing. Policy analysts are expected to provide unbiased reports about ongoing controversial public policy proposals. Is this realistic given our severely partisan environment.
