Select a period of time that is of interest to you. This might be a specific time, such as the release of the Flexner Report, or a period of time such as World War II, or anything in between. Create a PowerPoint presentation about that period of time in the history of nursing and reflect upon the implications of that time for the development of nursing education. In this presentation, meet the following goals: •Create a slide presentation that is clear and succinct and includes one photograph to illustrate a factor related to your chosen period of time. •Identify a period of time that is of significance to nursing history. Review the social, political, and economic forces at play during that time, affecting higher education in general and nursing education in particular. •Explain the influence of the period of history on the current status of nursing education. Identify one possible current situation in nursing education that could reflect a direct influence of this time in history. •Describe the relationship of the event for nursing education to the development of higher education. •Integrate information concerning social, political, and economic forces specific to the chosen time period.
