Worley A & P 2 Research Paper
The student may write a 1200 word paper that is relevant to Human A & P. The topic must be current.
In order to complete the requirement, the following steps shall be taken:
1) A list of potential topics will be available to you. Discuss this with your professor and get his approval .
2) Have a title page. Make sure to include your name, class, and time. My name must be on this page as well
3) Research relevant and up-to-date articles about the subject in the library.
DO NOT use encyclopedias or books older than 2000; “The Enquirer”, “ Ripley’s Believe It or Not”, “Jerry Springer Show”, or any other general trendy magazines ( reality shows ) that are common on supermarket shelves, or viewed at home.
DO use journals, such as “Science”, “Science News, “Scientific American”, “Preventative Medicine”, and the Journal of the American Medical Association ( JAMA ).
4) You MUST take a rough draft of your paper to the Academic Success Center for review. The “redlined copy, as well as your final paper, will be submitted to me at the same time. Use facts and present your information in a “matter-of-fact” manner as directly as possible.
5) See other student papers from your professor as a guide.
6) Have at least FOUR sources of information.
7) Please site your references and complete your paper in APA format .
8) This paper may added to your test scores for either lecture or lab, or replace your lowest lecture test score, except it will not replace your final exam . The decision has not been made by me yet.
