Healthcare In The United States

Healthcare In The United States

While there are many different perspectives regarding healthcare in the United States, it is important to take these point of views into account, particularly for some of the major players in the issue. Physicians are some of the most influential people in this discussion and their organized group the American Medical Association (AMA) is one of the largest health related organizations in the country. Reportedly, the AMA’s greatest concern for healthcare is that all Americans have affordable access to care, particularly young children, the disadvantaged and the elderly. This should be affordable care without costly regulations that end up falling on patients (American Medical Association, 2017). Many other organizations also support similar goals as the AMA including the American Public Health Association. Not only does this organization provide additional support for the AMA’s goals of affordable healthcare for all, the group focuses on women, children and adolescents and asks for appropriate and reasonable care for these individuals. Particularly in the case of young children, these are individuals who cannot necessarily advocate for themselves (American Public Health Association, 2017). Healthcare In The United States Paper

Whereas many of the groups described above are advocates for insurance for all, private insurances also organize their own thoughts in regards to this issue. For them, coverage for existing problems for example, can be costly. Thus, private insurances ultimately seek to exclude working with these individuals while raising coverage amounts for things like Medicare/Medicaid which ultimately determines reimbursement rates for private insurance as well. Thus, private insurances do not likely have the best interests of the population as a whole in mind when advocating for health care changes.
