One issue anticipated as a provider is working with health technicians who lacks knowledge of psychiatric disorders. In the healthcare profession, patient safety is of uttermost concern. As a psychiatric mental health provider providing therapeutic care to patients is a priority. Ensuring that team members educated on the disease process of common psychiatric disorders, will prevent staff sensitivity to patient behavior. When therapeutic care is provided mental health workers in a holistic manner it will allow patient to view care team as partners in care and increase adherence to treatment.
