Acute Kidney injury Assignment

Question Description

Each student will be assigned an exemplar disease concept. Acute Kidney injury
In order to complete this assignment you will need to incorporate theory and research and prioritize data from at least 5 sources. This should include textbooks, at least 1 nursing journal, and credible web sources.
Textbooks you can use either one: Porth: Essentials of Pathophysiology, Fourth Edition Carol Mattson Porth ISBN: 978-1-4698-9090-6 or Hinkle & Cheever: Brunner & Suddarth’s Textbook of Medical-Surgical Nursing, Fourteenth EditionJanice L. Hinkle; Kerry H. Cheever ISBN: 978-1-4698-9090-6
Explain the common mechanisms of acute disease progression as it relates to the human body; including protective and predictive factors, genetics and environmental factors as they relate to the exemplar disease concept. Please include how these factors affect the client’s health.
Identify and explain studies or research conducted that applies to your exemplar.
Identify implications of research findings on the topic to nursing practice based on evidence.
Identify pros and cons for this study/research. Identify gaps if any in evidence that could be addressed to strengthen existing evidence-base related to research/study conducted. Discuss/propose future research possibilities.
Paper needs to be in APA format, with title page and references page. Paper should be no more than 4-5 pages long; this does not include the title and reference pages.
Please see the grading rubric to aid with this assignment.

You must proofread your paper. But do not strictly rely on your computer’s spell-checker and grammar-checker; failure to do so indicates a lack of effort on your part and you can expect your grade to suffer accordingly. Papers with numerous misspelled words and grammatical mistakes will be penalized. Read over your paper – in silence and then aloud – before handing it in and make corrections as necessary. Often it is advantageous to have a friend proofread your paper for obvious errors. Handwritten corrections are preferable to uncorrected mistakes.

Use a standard 10 to 12 point (10 to 12 characters per inch) typeface. Smaller or compressed type and papers with small margins or single-spacing are hard to read. It is better to let your essay run over the recommended number of pages than to try to compress it into fewer pages.

Likewise, large type, large margins, large indentations, triple-spacing, increased leading (space between lines), increased kerning (space between letters), and any other such attempts at “padding” to increase the length of a paper are unacceptable, wasteful of trees, and will not fool your professor.

The paper must be neatly formatted, double-spaced with a one-inch margin on the top, bottom, and sides of each page. When submitting hard copy, be sure to use white paper and print out using dark ink. If it is hard to read your essay, it will also be hard to follow your argument.
