There may be the physical signs, for example bruising around the neck or arms, also scratches and scars. For intellectual, this can affect the way they are towards education if they are being bullied during school, they will not want to attend school so they can get away from the bullies, this will then effect there future. The physical side may have positive and negative sides to peer groups, if you’re in a group and everyone in the group is skinny, it may lead to that person losing weight in a way they should which would affect the body functioning. For intellectual, the groups may tend to be distracted with work which will allow them to fall behind on their work and affect their future. When breaking down the life span into stages such as childhood, adulthood, and late adulthood; the break down seeks to bring unity to the life of human being, and ultimately helps us to understand the development of a person. The science of human developments seeks to understand how and why people change or remain the same over time at all ages in all different circumstances. Human beings are so complex in so many ways and it is important that as humans we understand these crucial developmental stages in our life to better communicate and prepare for these stages in our lives. I additionally wanted to focus on the level of moral development among the interviewees at each of the stages in development.
To better understand the characteristics of these developmental stages, the moral reasoning developmental process and differences and similarities seen among the people of the interviewees; I interviewed eight individuals. I interviewed both a female and male in the school age, adolescence, emerging adulthood, adulthood, and older adulthood developmental stages. The interviewees were selected at random. I conducted a personal face to face interview with each interviewee. During the interview I asked a series of eight questions pertaining to their goals, accomplishments, worries, important people in their lives, fears they currently have as well as a scenario question pertaining to a moral dilemma. After conducting these interviews I was able to analyze the different stages in life span development further and make clear observations of similarities and differences between the interviewees. Although the interviews allowed me a great amount of observation as well as useful insight; the answers to these eight questions did not summarize in anyway the multi-contextual, multicultural, multidisciplinary, plastic, and multi-directional development of each person. This takes place from birth to 2 years and it is when an infant’s knowledge of the world is limited to their sensory perceptions and motor activities. The behaviors are limited to simple motor responses. An infant will utilize skills and abilities they were born with when challenged or when they just want to explore the world. The infant lacks the concept of object permanence.
When I was about to be 2 years old, my uncle would do magic tricks with a quarter. He would place the quarter in one hand, close it, move his hands around, and ask me in which hand the quarter was. I obviously chose the hand in which he placed the quarter in, but when he opened his hand, there was nothing there. I was smart enough to process in my mind that the quarter couldn’t just disappear so I asked him to open his other hand. Just as I had thought, the quarter was there in his other hand and I was amazed at the fact that he teleported the coin from one hand to the other without opening his hands. I learned that things continue to exist even though they cannot be seen or touched.
This occurs from 2 to 7 years and is characterized by the increase of playing and pretending to be someone else. The characteristics include egocentrism, thinking the world revolves around them, and a difficulty of understanding conservation. I remember leaving I was at my aunt’s house when I was 6 years old, my mom would pick me up around 4 and we would catch the bus in downtown. Once day we were walking towards the bus stop in downtown and I saw the train passing by. I thought that I knew how to get home and that I could lead my mom there. I also noticed that the train was quicker too. I insisted that we should take the train because it’s faster and she just followed me. We got in the train and ended up going to long beach.

Three systems act as the steps of processing. As the information is passed onto higher levels, several more sequential steps, many of which are not fully understood, process it. Each of these stages is both highly organized in themselves, and does their own internal processing of the data. They also act as the input for the next step. Hence, information processing in the brain can be considered a cascaded relay system. Where each of these highly organized stations acts as a separately relay that both does its own processing and is the input for the next stage. This theoretical paper is a discussion of a mechanism for cognitive development that has its basis in recent discoveries in neural network designs, which is one of the current models of the brain. It reviews how these advances can be integrated into a holistic theory of mental functioning by adding to them several concepts from Piaget’s theory and Maharishi’s Levels of the Mind from Vedic Psychology. Such a structure creates a model of development that shows how underlying structures of the mind relate to the sequential developmental stages outlined by developmental theorists. By utilizing attention, neural circuits have the capacity to create a set of stable patterns that connect the higher levels of mental functioning, such as mind, intellect and ego, with the perceptual and motor processes.
