Biostatisticians and Methodologists Involved in Collaborative Clinical Research at Academic Health Centers Regarding Burnout, Reproducible Research, Collaborative Relationships, and Promotion Criteria

Overview

ABOUT THIS STUDY

The purpose of this study is to gather information about the current practice of biostatisticians working in academic health centers. There are several proposed topics, to be surveyed over an extended period (approximately two surveys a year). Topics include feelings of burnout, use and attitudes towards reproducible research methods, and perceptions of the investigator-statistician relationship in these environments. We aim to identify gaps between actual practice and guidelines recommended by experts in the field of applied biostatistics.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

  • Self-identification as a biostatistician engaged in biomedical or clinical/translational research
