My Abstract :

Abstract

An estimated 5.4 million Americans of all ages have Alzheimer’s disease in 2016. By 2050, the number of people age 65 and older with Alzheimer’s will go from 5.2 million to a projected 13.8 million, given the baby boomer population reaching age 65 has begun recently; the numbers are escalating quickly (Help End Alzhiemers). Alzheimer’s is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States. The cost of this disease is nearly bankrupting Medicare with expectations to cover $160 billion in healthcare for Alzheimer’s patients. Better care, therapy, and prevention research will require huge investments which will be a concern for many policy makers and how the government will apply funding. Until there is a cure, there will be major impacts within healthcare to help maintain and treat this condition that is affecting the majority of our elderly population.

Literature Review

This section is the literature review. You will need two to three concepts to elaborate on relative to your research. This paragraph is a brief overview of what a literature review is and what concepts you plan to discuss. Briefly introduce your next capstone section. While this may seem redundant at each section, it is important to remind the reader at the beginning of each section.

Overview of Literature Concept 1

Research your topic in the library. Read articles, dissertations, and other scholarly materials. Elaborate on one concept that stood out to you as important for your manuscript.

Overview of Literature Concept 2

Research your topic in the library. Read articles, dissertations, and other scholarly materials. Elaborate on one concept that stood out to you as important for your manuscript.

Overview of Literature Concept 3

Research your topic in the library. Read articles, dissertations, and other scholarly materials. Elaborate on one concept that stood out to you as important for your manuscript.

You must proofread your paper. But do not strictly rely on your computer’s spell-checker and grammar-checker; failure to do so indicates a lack of effort on your part and you can expect your grade to suffer accordingly. Papers with numerous misspelled words and grammatical mistakes will be penalized. Read over your paper – in silence and then aloud – before handing it in and make corrections as necessary. Often it is advantageous to have a friend proofread your paper for obvious errors. Handwritten corrections are preferable to uncorrected mistakes.

Use a standard 10 to 12 point (10 to 12 characters per inch) typeface. Smaller or compressed type and papers with small margins or single-spacing are hard to read. It is better to let your essay run over the recommended number of pages than to try to compress it into fewer pages.

Likewise, large type, large margins, large indentations, triple-spacing, increased leading (space between lines), increased kerning (space between letters), and any other such attempts at “padding” to increase the length of a paper are unacceptable, wasteful of trees, and will not fool your professor.

The paper must be neatly formatted, double-spaced with a one-inch margin on the top, bottom, and sides of each page. When submitting hard copy, be sure to use white paper and print out using dark ink. If it is hard to read your essay, it will also be hard to follow your argument.
